Saratoga Supervisor Pleads Guilty In DWI Case
Saratoga Springs County Supervisor Sarah Burger has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired following a DWI arrest. Police say she was stopped for speeding on Broadway and later tested above the legal limit. Burger received a 90 day license suspension, a fine, and must complete a driver program.
Two Saratoga County Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minors
New York State Police say two Saratoga County businesses failed compliance checks for selling alcohol to minors. Speedway in Ballston and Lucky’s Market in Milton were cited, with two individuals arrested on misdemeanor charges of unlawful dealing with a child. Officials say 19 other businesses passed the sweep using an underage operative.
Man Indicted In Attempted Murder Of Mother In Saratoga County
A Saratoga County grand jury has indicted Aaron G. Gookin on attempted murder and multiple assault charges tied to a violent attack. Prosecutors say Gookin allegedly strangled and struck his 77 year old mother after she tried to stop an online financial scam. The case is now moving forward in court.
Toddler Killed In Northumberland Crash
A 2 year old child has died after being struck by a vehicle on private property in Northumberland. Deputies say the child was rushed to Saratoga Hospital but did not survive. The crash remains under investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
